Metal Merch. For Canadians.
MetalThreads is a Canadian online store for metal band merch. Officially licensed, printed and shipped in Canada. Built for fans who'd rather support bands than pay customs.
What We Do
MetalThreads is an online merch store based in Canada, selling officially licensed apparel from metal bands and the surrounding scene. We partner with bands, labels, and rights holders to offer their merch domestically.
We're fans first, so this is merch we'd actually wear, from bands we actually listen to, shipped from one Canadian to another.
Built By Fans.
For The Scene.
In metal, a shirt is never just a shirt, it's a statement. Wear one and you're telling people which bands you stand behind, and there's a good chance you'll find others who do too. It's also still one of the most direct ways to put money back in an artist's pocket.
But modern metal merch is almost impossible to get in Canada. The classics are well represented, but the bands defining the genre right now can barely be found anywhere. There's a whole infrastructure dedicated to handling their merch in the US, and while they do ship to Canada, what gets across is taxed: a three-shirt order can land carrying $70 to $100 CAD in duty, tax, and brokerage on top, before shipping.
And it's not just the fees. Canada is a big country and a brutal one to tour. If you're not in a city the bands can reach your chance to grab something and support them is gone. It's hard on the bands too: import fees and taxes on the merch they bring in, and huge stretches of the country they can't reach at all.
So we're building the fix we always wanted, for the fans and the bands. Modern metal, officially licensed, printed and shipped in Canada. No border between you and the bands you love.
No Customs.
No Brokerage.
No Problem.
Here's what that means for you: the number at checkout is the amount you pay. Canadian shipping, taxes where they apply, and nothing waiting to catch you at the door.
More of what you spend stays where it belongs: with the bands, and in the scene that keeps the music going.

How It Works
What comes together to make this all happen.
Working With Artists
Every product on the site is officially licensed through the band, label, or rights holder. This means that royalties are paid per sale at agreed rates, with transparent reporting back to our partners.
Printed In Canada
Apparel is printed on demand by a Canadian fulfillment partner. No warehouses of pre-printed stock, no overproduction waste, and no border for your order to cross before it reaches you.
Shipped from Canada
Every order ships from within Canada, with free shipping on anything over $99 and delivery on standard Canadian timelines.
No Surprises At Checkout
Everything's priced in Canadian dollars, with shipping and taxes shown up front. What you see at checkout is the whole total, nothing added after.
A Few Honest Notes
A few things worth saying out loud.
-
If a band you want isn't here, it's because we haven't worked out a deal with them yet. Tell us who you want to see, we take requests seriously.
-
We're not trying to replace the merch stores bands already use. If a band sells directly or through a US retailer, those are still good options. We're a Canadian option for fans who want one.
-
We're a small operation. If you email us, a human responds. Sometimes that takes a day. We'd rather answer well than answer fast.
-
Print-on-demand has trade-offs. Orders ship as they're made, which means a few days of production time before anything moves. We're upfront about it because surprise delays are worse than known ones.
-
Right now, we're apparel-only. As we expand we'll be looking to add vinyl and other physical goods down the line. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date.
